Tagging your website

Standard Tagging

Add the following block of JavaScript code to all of your website pages that you wish to track activity on.

If you use Google Analytics then its important that you add the Intilery JavaScript code block above the GA block.

You can add the code using Google Tag Manager.

<script type="text/javascript">
window.INTILERY = {}; INTILERY.gaq = [];
var _itq = window._itq = window._itq || [];
_itq.push(["_setAccount", "XXX"]);
(function() {
    var it = document.createElement('script');
    it.type = 'text/javascript';
    it.async = true;
    it.src = ('https:' == document.location.protocol ? 'https://' : 'http://') + 'cdn.intilery-analytics.com/rest/md/XXX';
    var s = document.getElementsByTagName('script')[0];
    s.parentNode.insertBefore(it, s);
})(); </script>

NOTE: In the line   _itq.push(["_setAccount", "XXX"]); replace "XXX" with your account number from the Intilery system.

NOTE: In the   cdn.intilery-analytics.com/rest/md/XXX replace "XXX" with your account number.

NOTE: If you have a custom install, you will have a different URL instead of   cdn.intilery-analytics.com.

Lightweight Tagging

Generally used during UAT, the lightweight tag carries all the tracking of the standard tag with limited actionability.

NOTE: The lightweight tag does not support site or email campaigns.

The lightweight tag code is as above, with the exception that in   cdn.intilery-analytics.com/rest/md/XXX you must replace "/md/XXX" with "/lw".

Host Tracking Settings
There is a new function called '_setHost' which can be used to overwrite the host name taken from the window e.g.
_itq.push(['_setHost', <HOST>]);
There is also a function called '_trackPageview' which, if called, will prevent the tag automatically tracking page views and instead allow the passing of an arbitrary page path and page title e.g.
_itq.push(['_trackPageview', <PATH>, <TITLE>]);
if both of these functions are used on the page, it will allow for passing in page data that need not correspond with the path, host and page title of the containing iframe.
NOTE: '_trackPageview’ the "v" must be lowercase.
