JavaScript API

The JavaScript Push API allows you to instrument your site with some simple JavaScript calls to capture events as they happen on your website.

All of the calls to send data go through the  _itq.push function which will send the events through to Intilery.

The function takes a single parameter which is an array with the first element of the array being a string indicating the type of data to push to Intilery.

These are:

  • _trackUserEvent
    • To send information about something a user has done, a standard event.
  • _trackEvent
    • To track a particular type of interaction that is to be reported on.
  • _trackPageView
    • To track extra page views for special events or virtual page views (one page checkout etc.), the script will send a page view event on page load - so only use for extra views
